No Spring 2012 Collecting Season - Wednesday, January 11, 2012
Dan Furimsky reports:

The official word from Potash Corp:
"There will not be a Spring 2012 Collecting Season due to safety concerns related to heavy equipment in the mine".


Dan is on the Aurora Museum Board (and our official connection to that Board) and they had a meeting today which included representatives from PCS.

We all wish we had different news to report but I wanted to inform everyone when I knew so people can make their future plans.

Thank you all for all of your volunteer time and efforts for Aurora and PCS.

Aurora Fossil Museum
Mission
The purpose of the Special Friends of the Aurora Fossil Museum ("Friends") is to support the educational programs and provide for the capital needs of the Aurora Fossil Museum. This will be accomplished by engaging in fund raising activities and providing volunteer labor and technical assistance for the sole benefit of the "Museum". "Friends" will be incorporated as a North Carolina non-profit corporation and will comply with all state and federal rules governing the activities of such entities.
